Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the http://www.chrysalistraining.co.za website and the application operated by Chrysalis Nature college, a division of Chrysalis Training and Skills Development
Your access to and use of chrysalistraining.co.za is conditioned on your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users and others who access or use chrysalistraining.co.za.
By accessing or using chrysalistraining.co.za you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms then you may not access chrysalistraining.co.za.
Purchases
If you wish to purchase any product or service made available through chrysalistraining.co.za, you may be asked to supply certain information relevant to your Purchase including, without limitation, your name, address, credit card details
Payment Policy:
Short Course payments: Online payment of 20% of the course fee is required to confirm a place on a course. When a course is booked, an invoice for the course will be generated and 20% will be payable online.
Confirmation of your place will be emailed within 48 hours of receiving your payment. A final invoice with payment details will be sent upon confirmation of your place on a course.
The remainder of the course fees will be due no later than 28 days before the course begins The course fees may be paid in a lump sum, or as smaller sums that have to be negotiated and agreed with Chrysalis Training and Skills Development PTY ltd, finance department.
Bookings for courses outside of South Africa will carry a 7% administration fee, that will be included in the final invoice. If the full amount is paid via our online channel, this fee will not be charged.
Conservation and Ecotourism 3-year course
Online payment of 20% for the first year of the course fee is required to confirm a place on a course. When a course is booked, an invoice for the course will be generated and 20% will be payable online.
Confirmation of your place will be emailed within 48 hours of receiving your payment. Detailed course payment options will also be emailed at this time.
These will include the following options:
1.Full payment for the first year of study in advance
2.50% part payment upfront, 50% for each 6 months of the course thereafter
3.Monthly payment via debit order for the full duration of the course (3 years)

Payment for course materials:
All course materials are to be ordered and paid for online. The delivery address for these will be the head office of Chrysalis Nature College. Students will receive goods ordered upon attending their course. Chrysalis will always endeavour to have goods available for the start of the course. There may however be circumstances that do not allow for this. When this happens, Chrysalis will communicate this to students, with estimated delivery dates, and if necessary alternative options.
Chrysalis Nature College reserve the right to review course fees without notification. Course dates booked and confirmed prior to changes will be honoured at the fee applicable at the time of booking.
Late and outstanding payments:
Late payments will incur interest calculated at 2% above the prime rate.
Overdue accounts where no settlement arrangements have been made will be handed over for collection after 120 days.
The collection and administration costs for an account that is handed over will be for the account of the defaulting party.
Portfolios will be assessed when all outstanding fees are paid
Any certifications due, will only be issued when all outstanding fees are paid up
Rescheduling, Cancellation and Substitutions:
Should the circumstance arise that you are unable to attend the course on the dates agreed, this is to be communicated at least 6 weeks before the course commencement. If a course is missed or services not used, there will not be a refund issued.
If the circumstances for a person not starting a course on the expected date are deemed to be extenuating and out of the control of the prospective student, for example: Death, illness, family emergency. The circumstances will be taken into consideration and the Director will make a decision as to whether the circumstances are extenuating.
If circumstances are deemed to be extenuating, the course may be re-booked within 12 months of the decision being made. Failure to attend the course within this 12-month period will result in forfeiture of the full course fee and monies already paid.
If a prospective student is unable to attend a course, and wishes to transfer their booking to another student, this may be done with agreement from Chrysalis.
An 2% administration fee will be charged for amendments to bookings or booking cancelled 60 days or less before the start of a course Any administration fees due will be applied to cancellations.
All cancellations are to be made in writing, with any requested accompanying documentation.
Cancellation Policy:
65 + days before the start of the course: 10% of the full course fee will be forfeited
50–64 days before the start of the course: 20% deposit and 10% of the full course fee will be forfeited
29- 49 days before the start of the course: 20% deposit and 30% of the full course fee will be forfeited
15-28 days before the start of the course: 20% deposit and 60% of the full course fee will be forfeited
0-14 days before the start of the course: 20% deposit and 80% of the full course fee will be forfeited
Client travel responsibilities:
It is the responsibility of each traveller to ensure that they are fully aware of the most current immigration requirements for travel from country of origin to South Africa. Clients are responsible for ensuring that all medical certificates required are current and meet the requirements for travelling to South Africa
Travel Insurance:
Chrysalis has the required insurances for hosting and transporting clients. Clients are also required to take out travel insurance that covers them for the duration of the course to cover any personal medical emergencies that may occur during the course.
Food and Accommodation:
Food and accommodation are included in the price of the course. Clients may be required to prepare their own food for the duration or part of the course, this will depend on the location of each course, or practical excursion
Accommodation may vary from dormitory style accommodation to shared accommodation in tents. Accommodation is dependent on the location of each course or practical excursion
Agreement to a code of conduct:
All clients will be sent a summary of the Chrysalis Code of Conduct prior to the commencement of the course. All clients will be required to sign the summarised Code of Conduct before attending a course, and the full version of the Code of Conduct during the Course Orientation. Chrysalis reserves the right to terminate a Clients’ booking, with no refund, should a client fail or refuse to do sign the and adhere to the Chrysalis Code of Conduct

Changes
Chrysalis Training and Skills Development PTY ltd reserves the right at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will try to provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.
